Ladies and gentlemen, the man known as Kode 9 is back in town this friday !

Not only that, but the crew on support will be tearing it up in their own right. .

Check this mix : http://soundcloud.com/stacks/stacks-useyourdelusion-mix192 fresh from the record collection of Stacks.

He’s on support on friday, and if you ask him nicely, he might play some jungle.

Hell, if Reach play their cards right, Kode9 might even play some jungle.

Gon is on support also, you should check his track as part of the recent ABSFREE005 release, described as “a deep sci-fi tinged Dubstep workout with a strong sense of melodic progression”. Free download here : http://www.jungle.me.uk/index.php?topic=7147.0

Get your inner junglist out and get down the twisted pepper on friday nice and early.

Shouts to the flyer crew.

The boss comes to town . . .

He’s the head of one of the most groundbreaking labels in electronic music, which has just celebrated 5 years of amazing sonic output including the likes of Burial, Joker , Mala, Samiyam , Zomby and The Bug.

He’s just had his own book published ( Sonic Warfare: Sound, Affect, and the Ecology of Fear) by MIT press.

He’s also produced some exquisite music of his own, frequently collaborating with the MC Spaceape.

To put things lightly , he’s a bit of a f##king big wig in terms of bass music, particularly the style of music that some people like to call grime and/or dubstep.

You can catch the man known as Kode9 on the decks next friday January 22nd in the twisted pepper as part of reach birthday celebrations along with some heavy junglist action from Kenny ken vs. Randall !!!!

DON’T SLEEP ON THIS YA HEAR ?

MOVEMBER

•November 27, 2009 • Leave a Comment

I have been actively growing a moustache for the last month.

You may have wondered why i did this, having been placed directly in the firing line for ridicule and general pointing and laughing from co-workers, friends & family, shop attendants , bus drivers, etc.

Well, it was all for a good cause that i’m sure most of you have heard about by now – Movember.

Movember is a charity drive for the month of November , encouraging men all over the world to grow a Mo’ and raise funds for prostate cancer research.

1 in 10 men in the western hemisphere will be diagnosed with prostate cancer at some stage in their lives.

Currently, there are 6,618 men registered in Ireland taking part, and the money raised is currently running at 489,196 euro, a phenomenal response.

Here comes the ask for money part . . .

If you would like to make a donation please click here.

You can donate with your laser card and it takes about a minute to fill out the donation form.

All funds raised go to the The Irish Cancer Society and their Men’s Health programme Action Prostate Cancer (ACP) . You can read more on that here.

Also, if you haven’t got your fill of pointing/laughing/ridiculing, the mo’s last day (sniffle) will be Monday .

And for no reason other than some light entertainment of a friday, here are some pictures of well known/comedy moustaches .

Water water everywhere !

With news of some kind of sports game involving Ireland dominating the news, there are other things happening that the national news has been neglecting…..

Anyone thinking of going to Cork city this weekend may need to think again . . . .
